Curriculum

Lori's Preschool uses the Mother Goose curriculum, a professionally designed preschool curriculum that nurtures the whole child and supports the child's social, emotional and intellectual growth. This curriculum meets national benchmarks in language development, literacy, mathematics, science, creative arts, social and emotional development, physical health, and social studies. Each of these subjects areas are woven around a different monthly theme. These themes include:

• Rainforest
• Transportation
• Dinosaurs
• Safari
• Deserts
• Foods and Fitness
• and others

In addition to all other subject areas, students in Lori's Preschool focus on recognizing and writing their name as well as letter/sound recognition.  

While acknowledging that every child is at a different emotional, social, and academic level, Lori's Preschool seeks to prepare all students for kindergarten or beyond. Lori has experience working with gifted children as well as children who need a little more time. Each child will be able to work at their own level.
